Apple has just announced that more than 10 billion Apps have been downloaded from its App Store. Apple App Store has been a huge hit, more than 10 billion Apps have been downloaded from the App Store from the day of its launch on 10 July 2008 to 21 January 2011. The 10th billion App was downloaded on Saturday 21st of January 2011 at 10:28 GMT.

It’s a huge milestone for the App Store which made a quite good and easy platform for people to download different application which includes games and software for respective iOS device. Apple has generated a lot of revenue through the App Store, which is being estimated around $700 per developed application.

Apple has declared that they will be soon identifying the person who downloaded that 10th billion app from their App Store. The lucky guy will be getting a $10,000 iTunes credit from Apple.

The iTunes App Store allows iPhone, iPod and iPad users to download application that can maximize the capability of the respective devices. A user can get the application either from iTunes or can directly download it on their iOS devices.
