New live photos of highly anticipated Apple iPad 2 have hit the web this morning, suggesting that it will be much slimmer than the existing iPad. These pictures appeared on Japanese site iBlackBox, claiming that it is super-slim measuring only 7mm thick, whereas the iPad is 13mm thick. There seems to be a camera at the top of the screen (previously as rumors suggested) along with a home button at the bottom. From the photos below there is some new information that has come along, as you can see that there is a wide speaker grille on the back, defiantly for enhanced audio, a rear-facing camera plus there is a slot for an SD card, which is something the genuine device is rumored to have.
The source of this information is also claiming that iPad 2 will feature some kind of “3D display”, most probably like that we have seen in LG Optimus Pad and LG Optimus 3D but no stereoscopic camera, so it won’t be able to record video in 3D. There are no words on what it will cost but as for its official announcement it is expected to be launched on 2nd March.

Thats not real. 1. that’s ios 3.1.3 not 4.3 or even 4.2 because it doesn’t have the light water droplets as we see on apples website. and that tablet looks like a piece of crap. apple wouldn’t release something that looks that crappy. Definitely photo edited from when the iPad first came out.
Fake! Apple would never write “iPad 2″ on there product, just iPad! And I mean why on earth is it running iOS 3 ?! If apple brought out this crap then I would buy a xoom! It’s disgusting! Nice try phony’s.
Mmm, I doubt the legitimacy of that… Plus I have a feeling that apple wouldn’t put “iPad 2″ on there- just “iPad”.
It’s definitely fake, but Apple would put iPad 2 on THEIR device; just look at the iPhone 3G/3GS
I have been monitoring all the hype and rumours around a new iPad2 for the last 3 months now and I believe any new iPad release on the 2nd will only be an additional model, not a replacement and we will have to wait until later in the year, say September for a new model.
Apple is still advertising the iPad on TV, etc and sales are still buoyant, maybe with the iPad 1A release we may see a camera and a price reduction in the current models, but we will have to wait another 6 months for a real iPad 2
