According to Wall Street Journal source from the supply chain, Apple has placed an order for around 25 million units of iPhone 5, which should be ready in August, as in preparation for the third quarter launch of the Smartphone. But WSJ suggests that shipments might be delayed due to the new iPhone design, as its “complicated and difficult to assemble.” This can be taken into account because the current one is subject to the infamous “deathgrip” and just for the information the man behind the design of the iPhone 4 left Apple after this problem occurred.
There were no words on the change of screen size or shape but some previous unconfirmed reports indicated that iPhone 5 will have a slightly bigger display that might be curved in order to fit better against the user’s face. Lastly the source said that the device is reportedly being assembled by Hon Hai, which is a Taiwanese company that handles all of Apple’s products.
