Rumors are circulating today that BlackBerry’s popular Messenger (BBM) App will be coming to Android and Apple iOS devices soon. It was initially reported by tech blog BGR but with very sparse details on its pricing and availability, anyhow reports are suggesting that RIM might charge Android and iOS owners just once for access to the service.

The BlackBerry Messenger App is currently free and comes per-loaded with BlackBerry devices which allows its users to send instant messages to each others. It is quite faster than texting and tells if the recipient has read your message or not. You can do whole lot with it but according to BGR the Android and iOS will get the stripped down that will only allow share text messages but not the photos or video like BlackBerry users can do. Moreover opening up the BlackBerry Messenger to other platforms could allow RIM to get a lot of new people using its services.
It is expected that BBM on Android and iOS will be available some time later this year but what it will cost is unknown. So would you like to have BBM on your Android or iOS device? Let us know your thoughts about it in the comment box below.
