Few weeks ago Canadian mobile phone maker RIM (Research in Motion) unveiled BlackBerry Torch 9850 Smartphone and now it seems that it’s headed to Verizon Wireless network. No the wireless carrier has not made any kind of official announcement, but instead this Smartphone has been spotted into the wild in a leaked document.

Some really nice folks over at crackberry.com got their hands on Verizon’s advertisement poster (photo above) earlier today, which clearly shows that the wireless carrier is preparing for the release of this newly announced Smartphone. Currently no specific information leaked with this poster on when this Smartphone will emerge, but we can expect from Verizon to announce this new touch-enabled BlackBerry handset sooner rather than later.
In addition most of the mobile phone operators in the United States have already announced their plans to make this new BlackBerry Torch 9850 Smartphone available for their customers, so there are maximum chances that Verizon Wireless will announce this device soon.
Earlier this month RIM announced four new BlackBerry Smartphones from which one is the BlackBerry Torch 9850 and as per its official announcement it will come pre-loaded with a 3.7-inch display, a 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera at the back with support for HD video recording and the RIM’s latest and powerful BlackBerry OS 7.
Plus there be Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as microSD memory card slot for additional storage and much more.
No words on its pricing have emerged so far folks but we will recommend you to stay tuned because more information will be coming soon.

I’m a current Verizon customer with the unlimited data plan (I’ve been using my BB Storm 1 as my only internet source for over two years–I tether it to my laptop via a USB cable–no Wifi on the phone), and when I talked with Verizon rep she said I can keep my unlimited data plan but the website notes for the same price for a 2G data plan for 30 a month (do long-time customers get to keep the unlimited data plan?). I’ve been very happy with my current setup, but I’m looking forward to even faster downloads with the 9850 (the new Storm 3 but now called the Torch). And I must admit that I like the Sure Press screen, so I’m a little anxious about the hypersensitivity of touch capacitive phones. But I love Verizon’s reliability, BES (no finer email on a cell phone–my emails get to their destinations and I receive them in just a few seconds, and no one can hack into my email or receive them by accident unless I enter the incorrect email address), BB music player, VZ Navigator (always amazed at how it talks to me my destination right to the front doors!), and BB ruggedness (my Storm is a tank: I have dropped this phone so many times and it still works–everything is original; even the screen protector still presents a very polished screen–it’s the original screen protector!). Bring on the 9850! I’ve saved a ton of money using my Storm as my only internet provider, and I hope to continue to do so once the 9850 is released.
You won’t be able to keep your plan if you sign a new agreement. You would have to get the phone at retail value.
