We all heard that big news that the Skype deal has finally gone through in favour of Microsoft. With big boys throwing huge stakes on the table, Microsoft finally came out successful after offering to part with $8.5 Billion.

This deal is by far the biggest buy out of a .com enterprise by Microsoft to date. Another interesting dimension of the huge interest amongst the buyers and the hefty price they were willing to pay is probably due to the reach and usefulness of SKYPE beyond the internet.

Although Microsoft has revealed plans to integrate SKYPE into a number of its existing products such as Xbox console, Outlook, and all windows smartphones.

Why the misstrust then?
We all know that the deal has cost Microsoft an arm and a leg when already the company has been reported to be failing badly and making huge losses in various markets.

Who in their right mind could assume that Skype will continue to work as a free service and that Microsoft took over SKYPE just to regain its lost respect and once again become a cool brand?

Previously the owners of SKYPE have reported the service is not making enough revenues to stay affloat and was considered a liability. Then why the hell would Microsoft buy someone else’s liability?

What if they decide to remove SKYPE from iPhones?

Do you consider SKYPE an important APP on your iPhone?

There are so many IFs and BUTs guys, let us know your thoughts!
