Great news for Apple iPhone and iPod users. Microsoft has just released its OneNote App and made it available as free for a “limited time”. This App allows you to manage your notes and lists that even include photos taken from the phone’s camera. The docs are then synced with Windows Live SkyDrive that lets you access them from anywhere using your phone, Windows desktop application or any web-based counterpart. Also, you can organize your notes into sections or create new notebooks using OneNote 2010 or OneNote Web App.

For OneNote download you must have iOS 4.2 or higher on your iPhone / iPod. You can access your notes online at http://office.live.com. And of course you need to sign up for a free Windows Live account to use the App.

Microsoft noted that the OneNote App is the culmination of some 18 to 24 months of development from a team of Microsoft Mac Office and OneNote engineers. No information on until when the “limited time” offer is valid. So you guys should better grab the App before it times out. The App is presently available to US users only.
