Facebook has recently rolled out a new photo viewer for its users. The new Facebook photo viewer uses popup slideshow and opens in an overlay layer. Its an update from Facebook but many users found it annoying. So how can we disable the new Facebook photo viewer and get back that old classy Facebook photo viewer? Read after the break.
How to disable the new Facebook Photo Viewer?
If you want to switch back to the old Facebook photo viewer, the one without popup and slideshow, then use any of the following methods.
- Open a photo and let it load in the new Photo viewer. Now Press “F5” key on the keyboard. This will load the old layout.
- Or If you are using Google Chrome, use this extension (click here to download). It will do the same job for you.

Exactly..This is not a fix..it’s only refreshing the page. Totally useless.
