Google recently announced Social network Google+ (plus) and now Google+ app for iDevices including iPhone, iPad and iPod touch will be landing in Apple’s App Store as soon as in next 2 weeks. Google employee and developer Erica Joy has confirmed this news about the submission of this app in App Store, saying that the app has been submitted and is waiting for approval. Erica Joy referred to it as an “iPhone” app but later she clarified that by “iPhone” she meant “iOS” and this raises the possibility that Google will possibly offer an app specifically designed for the iPad’s large screen. Google+ App for Android devices running version 2.1 or above was made available as soon as Google announced Google+ last week and until now it has seen more then 500,000 – 1,000,000 downloads, according to stats over at Android Market. Currently there is no information available that whether it will be available for devices running on Windows Phone, BlackBerry or Symbian operating system but hopefully we will be hearing about them soon.
Apple has neither confirmed nor declined that whether the Google+ app will appear in the App Store or not, but as we all know Apple does screen all apps before ultimately approving them. And it won’t be wrong to say that this App might take a bit of time for approval as Apple and Google have become bitter rivals in the ongoing iPhone-Android fight. However stay tuned and check out Google+ introductory video below and let us know by your comments that how much you are interested in getting Google+ App on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch?
