Get ready this is big! We all know that HTC HD2 has been a big hit and it comes with Windows Mobile 6.5. Recently, a Russian hacker tom_codon has managed to port the Windows Phone 7 OS ROM into HTC HD2. Yes it’s true! And for the proof, he has even provided a video showing HTC HD2 running on Windows Phone 7 OS (you can find the video below). According to Tom, everything is working great including Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth but there seems to be some problem with the graphics driver.

Porting Windows Phone 7 OS ROM into HTC HD2 is something which Microsoft said was not possible and according to Microsoft, the existing devices are not suppose to get the Windows Phone 7 update. So the only way to see your HD2 running Windows Phone 7 is by porting the Codon’s ROM.
