Great news for iPhone users! VoIP has now launched Skype 2.0 which will allow users to make calls from 3G networks using iPhones. This service is free for now but after August they intend to charge a small fee to use Skype for making calls. This great service won’t be relying on Wi-Fi to connect with Skype.
The upgrades include Near CD-quality sound for Skype-to-Skype calls using wideband audio (SILK codec) for iPhone 3G and 2nd generation iPod touch. Other highlights of the service will be; an enhanced call quality, improved start-up time and fast access to the dial pad from iPhone’s home screen.
