Sony’s long anticipated PlayStation Blu-ray 3D update will finally be available soon. We can expect an upgraded firmware that gives the PS3 a 3D depiction for photos. As Sony says, the first round of 3D games will include futuristic racing games. CVG reports that the rest of the presentation was devoted to extol the virtues of 3D to hardcore gamers in racing games, God of War, or LittleBigPlannet.
“The PS3’s update for Blu-ray 3D movie playback will be released in September”, Senior Director of Sony Europe Mick Hocking announced.
Last but not the least, the company’s 3D Blu-ray update won’t be part of tomorrow’s pull down and instead will be available sometime this year via firmware update.
