According to the official announcement, both of these devices will feature 1.5GHz dual-core processors along with the ultra fast network connectivity, promising download speeds of up to 100 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps.
Apart from getting a faster CPU and the LTE connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy S II will now sport a larger 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen with WVGA resolution. In addition to it there will also be some design changes as well.
If you look at the press shots above you will notice that the Smartphone’s home screen button shape has changed. Its back has dropped the familiar textured plastic for a brushed aluminum back called the Samsung Celox.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will not sport any major changes compared to the Tablet we have already seen. Some of the key features will include an Android 3.2 aka Honeycomb operating system with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, a dual-core processor, a 3 megapixel camera at the front and 2 megapixel camera at the back along with 1080p HD video playback.
As for their pricing, release dates, and regional availability we will have to wait until next week’s IFA consumer electronics, which start on 2 September in Berlin. And lastly as for its availability in U.S, customers might not see LTE/GSM/WCDMA compatible devices anytime soon, because the products announced at IFA will typically hit Europe first.
Stay tuned guys and do let us know if you have anything in mind about these devices in the comment box below.
