Nokia has announced that Swype Beta is now available on Nokia’s Symbian S60 5th edition devices which include Nokia X6, 5800, 5230, N97, and N97 mini. Swype is basically a text input method that relies on swiping finger or stylus across the keyboard to register the letters, you can guess it from its name. Now a days, it is considered to be the fastest way to input text. The Swype supports many languages but Swype beta for Symbian for now only supports languages such as English US, Spanish, Canadian French, and Brazilian Portuguese but as the development is completed more languages will be supported in the future.

Swype is already available on Android powered devices and you can download it from Android market.  And if you are Nokia Symbian user, then you can download Swype beta from betalabs.nokia.com.

    You can find a very similar keyboard called SlideIT on the OVI for more than 6 months
    supporting 30 languages
