As we all expected ViewSonic has announced ViewSonic ViewPad 7X, the world’s first 7-inch Android Honeycomb tablet, during the Computex trade show in Taipei. This device made some noise earlier this month and features almost the same specs what we saw in the previous leak. The company didn’t mention any details over its pricing or release date but it won’t be surprising if we see this device before the end of the summer.

Anyhow as we mentioned above it will come with almost same features that we learned about it in the previous leak which includes an Android 3.0.1 Honeycomb operating system powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor along with it, this device will have a 7-inch LED display with a 1024×600 resolution. Other of its specs that are known includes HSPA+ connectivity, an HDMI-out port, rear and front facing cameras. Stay tuned for more information on it.

Furthermore in a related news AT&T’s Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10’s Android 2.1 Éclair update will be available from tomorrow. Yeah that’s right! We are confident that there is no typo involved. The update won’t be OTA (over-the-air), so XPERIA X10 users will have to visit sonyericsson.com/attupdate on a PC to upgrade their device. The update will be bringing several new features and improvements to the device. These new features will include 720p HD video capture support, continuous auto-focus in still and video capture, face detection, expanded home screens from three to five and multi-touch support.
So folks update your XPERIA X10, we know that now it isn’t that big but at least it is a one step closer to FroYo and Gingerbread.
